Patrons of SKF

Please recite a prayer (Fatiha) for the following noble souls who gave inspiration and enablement to SKF to engage in philanthropic activities.

Mr. Nasir Ahmed Sheikh (Late)

Mr. Nasir Ahmed Sheikh, M.A., L.L.B. (Karachi University), was a senior economist and an assiduous writer on economic subjects, particularly those in which prevailing economic theory or practice involved an inconsistency with deep-rooted Muslim beliefs. Born to Seth Fatah Muhammad and Zahra Bibi, he was the eldest of two brothers and three sisters. After graduating from Amritsar Khalsa College, he preferred his own business over formal employment. He also traveled to the UK. Before the independence of Pakistan, he settled in Karachi and stayed there for most part of his life. He wrote several scholarly papers, articles, and a book on Islamic economics. He was an active member of the Pakistan Economic Association.

Mr. Nasir A. Sheikh Sheikh was a philanthropist and provided financial support to numerous meritorious and deserving students within and outside his extended family.

He breathed his last in Lahore in 2003.

Dr. Zamin Ali Mirza (Late)

Dr. Zamin Ali Mirza (1934-2022) served as Director of Health, Lahore, and Director of Administration at Lahore Medical and Dental College, Lahore. He graduated with distinction from K.E. Medical College and afterward served the Health Department of the Government of Punjab in several administrative capacities. He was a God-fearing man known for his humility, simplicity, and philanthropy.

Mr. Hameed Rizvi (Late)

Mr. Syed Hameed-ul-Hassan Rizvi (1948-2021) served in Banque Saudi Fransi in Saudi Arabia for about 30 years. Prior to that, he served in the Forestry Department of the Government of Punjab. He was a humble, God-fearing man, dedicated to the love of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his family (Ahlul Bayt a.s.). God had gifted him with a melodious voice and he used to recite Hamd, Naat, Marsiya, Qaseeda, and Ghazal in the circle of his friends and family.
